Students who only work during holiday time can complete form P38(S) and will not need to be taxed. Students who work during term time are not able to do this, however there is another option.

If we are your only or main employer, you can complete form P46 and we will be able to use a tax code which allows you to earn £400 approx per month before paying tax.

If you work for many agencies/employers then we have to deduct tax at basic rate (22%) and you will have to claim back any overpaid tax at the end of the tax year (5th April).
